About Me

My Specialties

I specialize in providing Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT) and treatment of Complex Posttraumatic Stress Disorder (C-PTSD).  Posttraumatic Stress Disorder (PTSD) and other trauma-related disorders.  I also have extensive experience  in the treatment of substance use disorders, mood disorders, and anxiety disorders.

My Experience

I began providing outpatient mental health treatment at a mental health agency in the Boston area in 2007 as part of my second clinical internship in graduate school.  I continued working there until I moved back to western Massachusetts in 2012.

Upon returning to the area, I continued working in outpatient mental health for a local agency until I opened my own practice in 2021.  I have held various supervisory roles since 2011.

My Licensure

I have been licensed (#116110) by the state of Massachusetts as a licensed independent clinical social worker (LICSW) since 2010.  My license expires in August 2027.

My Education and Training

I earned my bachelor's degree in psychology from Mount Holyoke College in South Hadley, MA in 2003. I earned my master of social work degree from Simmons University in Boston, MA in 2008.

I have had extensive training in Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT).  The most recent continuing education that I have pursued is in Polyvagal  Theory, racial trauma, and ethics and risk management.

A Little About Me Personally

I am a Western MA native living  in Hampshire County with my spouse and cat.  I spend my free time cooking, gardening, reading, working on restoring my 1896 Victorian home, and taking photos.  All photos on the site are mine and were taken in Acadia National Park.  My pronouns are she/her.
